pic Dr.Gopinath's Diagnostic Services, a pioneer in advanced medical diagnostics in Kerala began as a modest scanning center in the year 1991, near the historic Trivandrum Medical College. By 1994 X' ray services were attached to the center to compliment its fast growing Ultrasound Scan and Laboratory Services. The VSSC was the first major organization to recognize these developments and grant approval for the center in 1995.

The introduction of the first fully automatic hematology analyzer in 1999 put the center on the golden road to modernization which resulted in the Central Government approval for CGHS as early as 2002. Before long the center was being widely recognized as one of the best diagnostic centers in Kerala, achieving the prestigious ISO 9001-2000 certification in 2003.

The introduction of the GE logiq5LPro Color Doppler in 2003, Bayer's Chemiluminescence Hormone Assays in 2005 and the Olympus Fully Automated Biochemistry Analyzer in 2007 ensured that the center could meet even the most stringent quality control standards, thus becoming endorsed by some of the biggest names in the medical profession.

Dr. Gopinath's Diagnostic Services is now on the national map for its exacting standards in quality after being placed in the “Elite Group of Diagnostic Centers” and ranked as one of the best diagnostic centers in India by external evaluation conducted by the renowned CMC Vellore.

Recertification of ISO 9001:2000 in 2007 and the arrival of fully automated Chemiluminescense Immunoassay machine Siemens ADVIA Centaur and 500Ma X-ray Machine with automatic processor has further strengthened the center. Moreover we are also part of the EQAS program of Bio-Rad of USA as well as AIIMS. Delhi, which ensures that our quality meets accepted international norms.

The year 2008 was a landmark year for the center getting the approval for Ex-servicemen service (ECHS) and the new central government approval (CGHS) approval on more stringent quality norms. 		  pic The presence of renowned Professor of Microbiology Dr. Mabel Legori, former Deputy Director of RCC Prof. Dr.Chandralekha, as well as Professor of Pathology Trivandrum Medical College Prof. Dr.Krishnamohan led by our inspirational Chief Executive and reputed Imageologist Dr.G.Gopinath means we are fully equipped to meet the challenges ahead.

They are backed up by an experienced team of radiologist's consisting of Dr. Jose Manuel, Dr.SureshBabu, Dr.Vijayaretnam and Dr.Reeba George, two general practitioners, thirty DME qualified lab technicians, a post graduate Medical Biochemist, a post graduate Microbiologist and eight qualified radiographers for an overall strength of nearly hundred employees now.

The launch of the Nedumangadu branch in 2005, followed by Pothencode in 2007, Peroorkada in 2008 and Thycadu in 2009 has helped us reach closer to our customers. Our Nedumangadu branch has since shifted to a brand new facility providing full fledged service in Ultrasound scan, X-ray and modern laboratory facilities and now enjoys the biggest support of the hill region of Trivandrum.

The main centre is the approved medical diagnostic center for various banks and Insurance Companies including SBI, SBT, Canara Bank, ING-Vysya, ICICI, MetLife, Tata AIG, Max New York, Reliance, AEGON Religare, Bharti-Axa etc.

Now we have set out on an ambitious development plan which includes the achievement of the highest international quality standard for Laboratory Services, ISO15189:2007 under NABL accreditation, besides the launch of new branches, and sub centers all over South Kerala by 2012.Dr.Gopinath's Diagnostic Services is also increasingly getting attached to clinical studies after having been part of various programs under the auspices of WHO-SAT and Rajiv Gandhi Center for Technology in 2008.

Our vision is to bring International Diagnostic Service to the door step of our customers by 2012.
