It enables the sonologist to visualize the internal organs and the structural and functional status can be defined. Ultrasound scans are noninvasive and do not posess any harmful radiation. As low-power sound waves are used, the method is regarded to be much more safe.

Common reasons for using this test is to investigate a person's abdominal and pelvic organs, musculoskeletal and vascular systems, and to monitor fetal development during pregnancy. It can also be used to diagnose issues in the liver, heart, kidney, or abdomen. These scans might also help to perform certain types of biopsies.

    Hardly any particular preparation is usually necessary, and it all depends on which part of your body needs to be inspected.

  • Avoid eating and drinking for up to 6 hours before the Gallbladder Examination
  • Drink plenty of water and avoid urinating before the Pelvic Ultrasound scan which allows the uterus, ovaries, and prostate for better visualization.
